New electricity and hot water prices for 2021

From 1 January 2021 prices for electricity and hot water will be increased in SGS properties that have individual metering.

This increase is due to the facts that tariffs for water, electricity and district heating will be increased in 2021. As of January 2021, VAT will also be shown on rent notifications for those of you who currently have individual metering and debiting (IMD) of electricity and water.  The price you pay, as a customer, will not be affected as the previous price included VAT. The only difference is that you will now see the actual cost with VAT shown separately.

Electricity and water subscriptions are dealt with by SGS, the cost is added to the rent and tenants do not need to sign separate contracts with providers.

Individual metering means that consumption costs are distributed more fairly between the tenants. The distribution is based on measured consumption and water and electricity is debited at cost. We apply a preliminary charge in the form of a standard fee. This fee is then adjusted based on measured consumption after a two-month period. The standard fee is based on expected normal consumption and varies depending on the type of apartment.

SGS electricity prices are in line with current electricity prices charged by  Göteborg Energi.
