Checklist before you move in
We know there can be a lot to keep track of, especially if it’s your first home. That’s why we’ve put together a simple checklist to help you feel confident from day one.
1. pay your rent on time
Rent is paid in advance and you can find your rent notice in the Housing App about 10 days before your contract starts. Remember: if you don’t pay on time, you may be subject to extra charges and, in the worst case, a payment default. The notice will state the due date – the date by which we must receive the money. Here you can find you can find all the information on how to pay your rent.
2. Register at the correct address
It is a requirement from us that you are registered where you live. Go to the Swedish Tax Agency’s website and update your address as soon as you can. It’s easy and quick.
3. Take out home insurance
As a tenant, you are responsible for your home, and home insurance is a must.
It protects you if something unexpected happens, such as a fire, flood or burglary – both in the apartment and the storage room.
Extra security for those moving in: We work with Hedvig so that you can easily take out home insurance at a good price. If you are a new resident, we also cover the cost for the first month if you have a swedish personal number and are under 30 years old.
4. Check the electricity and internet rates
Do you need to sign your own contracts for electricity and internet, or are they included in the rent? It varies depending on where you live. The housing ad states what applies to your specific apartment. You can also go to “Our Properties” to see how it works in the building you’re moving into.
5. The housing app

Here you can book the laundry room, report faults quickly, open the door with your mobile and chat with our AI assistant around the clock. You also get neighborhood tips, contact with your neighbors and reminders of important events.
Everything is in one tool – neat, simple and always at your fingertips. The housing app makes it easy to feel at home from day one.
After you sign your contract, you will receive an email to download the app. Do this before you move in so you can take advantage of all the great features and information about your accommodation.
