What is IMD – and why does it matter?

IMD stands for Individual Metering and Billing – a smart system where your electricity and hot water consumption is measured per apartment, instead of being shared equally between everyone in the house. This makes it easier to influence both the environment and your own costs. You simply pay for what you use – no more, no less. The current electricity price is 2.20 SEK/kWh (1.76 SEK excluding VAT). The current hot water price is 92 SEK/m3 (74 SEK/m3 excluding VAT).

IMD is installed in some of SGS’s properties. The following then applies:

✔️During the first two months, you pay according to a flat rate, based on normal consumption for your apartment type.

✔️ After that, you only pay for what you actually consume.

✔️ You don’t need to sign your own electricity contract – everything is handled by SGS.

Electricity and hot water template

The electricity and hot water standard is based on expected normal consumption and varies depending on the apartment type. Prices shall correspond to SGS cost prices. The electricity price includes both fixed and variable fees for electrical energy, the electricity grid and energy tax Correspondingly, the hot water price covers fixed and variable charges for the water itself, as well as all charges for the energy used to heat the water.
